Capture-The-Flag (CTF) is an exciting, competitive event where participants solve a series of challenges in various domains of technology to "capture" virtual flags. These flags are hidden within intricate puzzles and security tasks, and teams must demonstrate their expertise to uncover these flags and advance through different levels of the competition. It’s a thrilling blend of problem-solving, technical skill, and creativity, aimed at bringing out the best in each participant.
In this event, powered by UST and hosted as part of the GenCyS initiative, participants will delve into the worlds of cybersecurity. The competition is structured into two major rounds:
- First Round (Online)—This is the initial stage where participants can join remotely from anywhere and begin solving various challenges. And it will be of 8 hours
- Final Round (Offline at UST, Trivandrum) – The top 50 teams from the first round will be selected for the final, which will take place in person at UST Campus, Trivandrum. Here, the competition intensifies, as teams will work on more complex challenges in real-time. The hands-on, immersive nature of the final round ensures that participants engage deeply with the material and showcase their highest-level skills
