Proposed Workshop Title: Building Scalable and Secure Multi-Agent AI Systems

Abstract:
This hands-on workshop moves beyond the hype around AI agents to focus on what it actually takes to build production-ready agentic systems. Participants will explore the foundations of AI agents and multi-agent architectures, learn how to design for scalability and security from day one, and understand how to safely integrate agentic systems into real-world applications. The session blends conceptual grounding with practical, hands-on exercises so attendees leave with both the architectural thinking and the implementation know-how to build AI systems thoughtfully and securely.

Expected Duration: 3 Hours

Technical/Logistical Requirements:

• Projector/screen with HDMI connectivity, plus a USB-C adapter compatible with MacBook
• Lapel (clip-on) microphone
• Stable internet access for hands-on exercises
• Laptops for attendees (optional — they can also follow along on screen)
• For attendees bringing their own laptops: preferred IDE installed, git, Node.js and npm set up, and API credits/access for Claude or OpenAI
