James Dasher is a seasoned cybersecurity executive with more than 15 years of global experience building, leading, and maturing security programs that protect organizations against evolving threats. He currently serves as Interim Global Head of Cybersecurity and Head of Security Operations, Engineering, and Architecture at UST, where he directs enterprise-wide cyber resilience, incident response, and security strategy across a global footprint.
Previously, James was Deputy CISO at Blue Origin, guiding threat-informed security for IT, OT, manufacturing, and mission systems in support of next-generation spaceflight. Before that, he was a Senior Manager at Deloitte, where he advised Fortune 100 companies and U.S. federal agencies on advanced cyber operations, threat intelligence, and incident response. His international career includes leading cybersecurity program development across the Middle East and Asia—helping stand up national-level Security Operations Centers, mentoring the first military cybersecurity operators in Bahrain, and advising on Saudi Arabia’s inaugural National Cybersecurity Strategy.
James began his career in the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, where he helped train and develop some of the first U.S. Cyber Command Cyber Protection Teams and National Mission Forces along with assessing and securing some of the United States’ most sensitive networks and assets. He holds a CISSP and multiple technical certifications, and continues to advise organizations in technology, healthcare, aerospace, finance, and beyond on building resilient, adaptive security capabilities.
