Jonathan Westley is Experian’s Chief Data Officer for the UK&I business responsible for all internal and customer data spanning governance, insight, strategy, and performance.
Jonathan began his career in financial services in 1986 before joining CGI Consulting. He moved to Experian in 2000 and, in 2011, was appointed Managing Director of the Consumer Information business, the largest part of Experian’s B2B portfolio. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in transforming the business into a high-growth operation, leading several strategic acquisitions including HD Decisions Ltd, Runpath Financial Services Ltd, Castlight Ltd, and Experian’s background checking businesses. In parallel, Jonathan has worked closely with the UK Government, serving as a standing member of the Financial Inclusion Committee and contributing to the development of the national Financial Inclusion strategy.
Accomplishments:
- In 2019 he was recognised by DataIQ as one of the UK’s top 100 data leaders.
- In 2025 he was named in the top 100 Chief Data Officers by HotTopics
- Standing member of the governments Financial Inclusion Committee
Prior to Experian, Jonathan worked for Santander, CGI Consulting, FICO as well as setting up a small business that in 2023 was sold to Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.
